Creature's Lament

Blood flows freely,
from these wounds.
My heart torn open,
demons eat my soul.

Lovers loves lost,
done what i can.
Never to leave you,
ghost that haunts your heart.

Oh how you saw her,
a sirens song sung.
Her eyes were but blind,
your voice all but gone.

Then a dark creature,
blacker than night.
Masque of undeath,
true natures burial shroud.

Viewed with displeasure,
this young lovers indulge.
Awed by the beauty,
held in his heart.

The creatures heart
newly thawed out.
Understanding true love,
for the very first time.

But the creature still realized,
it's nature unbound.
World of lights bane,
evils true mate.

Never would the lover accept,
a wraiths cold embrace.
Saddened and angered,
what would it do.

Happiness made happy,
from lovers love found.
The creature would fix it,
and know it had done well.

It balled up its love,
and took out its knife.
Off came a slice,
of the poor creatures heart.

Into the blind,
the creature swam deep.
Into her heart,
it planted its seeds.

How she cried,
as lovers love grew.
Tears rolled down her cheek,
as she opened her eyes.

The creature brought them closer,
together they meld.
As lovers love blossomed,
so did its facade.

The creature sighed,
at the work it had done.
She didn't deserve him,
but had him she did.

Would she hurt him,
with lies and abuse.
This love was not hers,
and he'd never know.

The creature had done,
all that it could do.
And hurt all the more,
wishing pain away.

So the creature fled,
to the winds it took.
Away fom the lovers,
it flew hurt and affraid.

Lovers will quarrel,
harsh words sounded out.
Was this true love,
why didn't he trust.

Lovers love wilting,
the pair pulled apart.
He couldn't trust,
this just wasn't right.

As with the seasons,
the winds will change.
Brought back the creature,
to an uncertain hell.

It viewed with disgust,
what she'd done with its love.
Why couldn't she use it,
to show him true happiness.

The creature professed,
all it had done.
The young lover,
took it in stride.

False love must be undone,
he pleaded to it.
She must be told,
these feelings are yours.

Eternal delema it now faced,
did it reverse all it had done.
Or should she suffer,
for her abuse of its gift.

Lovers love hopeful,
a new growth may appear.
He still hears the sirens song,
still intoxicated by her voice.

The creature still watches,
and tries to protect.
But strength becomes waning,
from missing part of its heart.

It loves the young lover,
the best that it can.
And helps when it's needed,
so as to feel close.

Never shall the wraith forgive,
the siren for singing her song.
Causing the lover to jump overboard,
and drown deep in the sea.

Lovers loves death,
marked by her voice.
Ended it all,
leaving the creature all alone.
